Invicta 2686 automatic dive watchThis is a review on the reliable Invicta 2686 automatic dive watch. Invicta is obviously a well known name throughout the world and typically known for its low price and high reliability. I’ve became fascinated with Invicta watches not because of it’s lack of name recognition but rather in it’s craftsmanship. There are reasons why Invictas are so inexpensive compared to other automatic watches. Invicta watches have become the reference point reliability and inexpensiveness and due to this reason there are many companies out there making watches to compete against the Invicta watches. Rolex is so well known for its precision craftsmanship and reliability and the company earned its prestige status due to those reasons. Rolex however, took their design after Invicta watches but was able to capitalize their prestige brand recognition throughout the world.
My "Invicta 2686 reviews" are listed below:
Accuracy
The Invicta 2686 comes with a 21 jewel miyota movement. I’ve had this watch for a little over a year and the accuracy is + 5 minute approximately every month which is decent accuracy for an automatic watch.
Watch band quality
The "Invicta 2686" comes with a shiny polished silver watch band which I have to be honest is very good quality that rivals expensive automatic watches like Rolex and Tag Heuer. I figure for the price they wouldn’t put anything nearly that nice on it, but they do. The material is excellent, the only complain I have no complaints about the design since the watch only cost between $110-$160 depending on where you do your watch shopping.
Bezel quality
The bezel on this watch is just ok and what you would expect from a watch at this price. When you turn it, you can feel the “notchy” feel. When you turn the bezel it has that heavy click not the small smooth feel like on Rolex Submariner.
Crown
The crown on this watch has decent smoothness when you turn it, it’s a little rough but about what you’d expect for a watch at this price. When adjusting time the second hand does not have a hacking feature that only exhibits in expensive watches such as Rolex. Hacking feature refers to when you pull the crown the second hand actually stops, this provides more accurate setting.
Cyclops
As in all my reviews, I try to include all features but this watch has no Cyclops for me to review.
I think overall, for the price of this watch it is definitely a winner. I don’t know too many automatic watches that you can buy for $100 that is as reliable, good looking, and has a craftsmanship of a more expensive "automatic watch". In my opinion the Invicta 2686 should be sold for around $300 - $400.
